Helping Clients Attain Financial Wellness

Met anyone who didn’t need or more money to spend and some to invest?

I have never met anyone who didn’t want or need to make more money. Even those who are self-sacrificing want more money to help others or for some greater cause.

The reality is that people with messed up lives seldom have money enough to pay their bills, so they are unable to put money away to invest for their future.

Recently a client of mine shared how he would love to earn more money, enough to invest and to have a good return so he could help others and live well, and eventually retire in style. That’s a lovely goal I said but what is holding you back from achieving this goal? He replied: “my life is such a mess”.

This got me thinking of other clients I had seen previously who were not getting along well with others at work, as a result they were denied the promotion that would allow a pay increase so they could budget some money for investment.

I recalled the runner who was paying alimony and two sets of child support. He had such deep anger that he was close to being divorced for the third time. He already had money problems and the threat of having another child support payment should have been enough to set him straight but that did not work in his case. After working with him for four weeks to improve his Interpersonal Wellness Life Planning Profile® scores acknowledged that it was time to take the steps to develop a level of self- mastery to boost the success of his third marriage and to improve on all eight levels of wellness to maximize his success in business and life.

I also recall the mother who had an addiction problem that consumed the money she should have invested for her children’s education. After working me for six weeks on her Interpersonal Wellness Life Planning Profile®, she was motivated to go into therapy and clean up her life.

There are dozens of examples where my clients have been able to take steps to develop their eight level of wellness by work with the Interpersonal Wellness Life Planning Profile®. The profile serves to reveal to them the state their life is currently. This awareness is the catalyst to them acknowledging that they have a responsibility to fix things if they are not happy with their results.

The professional who is able to help his clients improve on multiple levels in their life will hold their attention longer and win their trust easier than the other professional who rigidly holds to his own dogma. When your clients are able to improve their wellness on multiple levels they will be able to think differently thereby increasing their earning potential and making it easier for them to have enough to pay their bills and become committed to invest for their financial future.

Time has changed, and as professionals we need to help our clients work in a more holistic and intuitive way. We need more tools to help our clients connect the dots and see outside the box of their life as an added value for doing business with us, so they can benefit more from the services we provide.

The brilliant professional will be an expert in his field and have a wide knowledge of the other areas that impact his clients’ life positively. This is one reason why I have developed the Interpersonal Wellness Life Planning Profile® to provide other professionals with an easy to use and apply tool to help their clients develop their eight level of wellness for their business and life. This easy to use tool to help them to aid their clients in connecting the dots and provide added value for service.

Working with clients from a holistic perspective is just good business sense that puts you at the head of the game as an innovative and intuitive leader in your industry. Your clients will benefit from your broad system approach and they will refer more clients to you.
